The "GICOF" is an international cosplay competition where contestants are challenged to create a 2 1/2 minute stage production, acting and portraying characters while in costume. The contest includes audio, video, stage choreography, prop and set design, costumes, wigs, makeup, accessories, script writing, and much much more. My partner, Charity @sailorpweterfox and I set out to compete in this coveted competition and began work in August of 2022. We competed against many other talented finalists, and are excited to have been chosen as the winning entry that represented the USA for the GICOF cosplay competition in South Korea in 2023.

Below are videos of our winning performance, based on the anime "Belle"; a modern re-telling of the classic Beauty and The Beast story.

Our entry was completely created and performed by only myself and Charity, with no aid from stagehands or assistants. Each costume change, set change, and operation of the "Beast" puppet is completed by us.

We are so extremely proud of all of the hard work that we put into this, and it is an expression of our love for this story, these characters, and for the art of cosplay. Enjoy!
